THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER.
My favorite Pixar film is Brave because it focuses on themes and elements Pixar - and most other studios - don't focus on. It's also gorgeously animated.
ReplyDeleteBrave was beautiful, definitely. Although not my favourite Pixar, cinematography-wise it was up there with the best.
DeleteThe Incredibles. I can't stop rewatching it! Such a heart warming family film
ReplyDeleteI think it's the one most members of the family would be happy to watch :P Something for the girls, something for the boys. It was an adventure for sure!
DeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Walle-E.The story is suitable for all ages, and the animation makes it look almost real.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I think of it as a silent film for the first half, because they communicated so much saying so little. It was such a refreshing film!
DeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Brave. The way in which the story was told, and the story itself was so relatable for me. I also greatly enjoyed how they were able to fit some elements of current culture into the film.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I enjoy about Pixar's films - how they make their films relevant in this day and age. It was very authentic.
DeleteMy favourite pixar film is Finding Nemo because of its story of the power and strength of familial love and friendship. Also, Thomas Newman's beautiful music really does invoke images of the ocean.
ReplyDeleteFinding Nemo is my favourite too! :D It was so touching, and each character was memorable for their own reasons. Thomas Newman is one of my favourites when it comes to film scores. He knows how to capture certain moods and moments in time.
DeleteFavorite short - Toy Story - the Hawaii one. It is hilarious! I love to watch with my four year old who laughs so hard every time she watches it.

I can't choose my favorite short film, but as for the full-length movies, I'll always be partial to the first Toy Story. I had all the lines memorized as a kid. I think I still do. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Finding Nemo. It's about love, and family, and bravery. Three things that are very important. It's just a beautiful movie; visually stunning with a great story to back it up.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Wall E. I'm an environmentalist, so I love the green message, but it's also fantastic eye candy. I also love the complete wonder and awe that Wall E has for everything, and his innocent pursuit of Eve is absolutely adorable as well.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Pixar movie is Toy Story 1 . I grew up with those characters and they gave me that fascination for 3D animation <3
ReplyDeleteMy favourite film would be Brave because I love that the way it differs from the traditional Disney princess storyline and Merida was a really relatable character. It was also incredibly hilarious, and the witch and kid brother bears were adorable.
ReplyDeleteWall-E is definitely my favorite Pixar movie, because they are able to communicate so well without the use of dialogue, and the art and scenery (especially in space) are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say my favorite was Toy Story, it was beautiful, hilarious, and gave me really good lessons about friendship
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is generally a toss up between The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Toy Story, but I'll give it to TS this time; I honestly feel as though it still has the sharpest dialogue in any of their films, and it's arguably their most quotable movie.
ReplyDeleteRatatouille! I never get tired of watching it, and the animation of food and landscapes is beautiful. This film has made me want to visit Paris someday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is The Incredibles because it's an action packed superhero movie centering on a family. Not to mention, the script is damn near flaw free, the characters are some of the most distinctive in Pixar's canon (or film overall), and Brad Bird's style added a different but still wholly familiar dimension to Pixar and the films that came before The Incredibles.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite short is definitely La Luna, because it is beyond enchanting and magical, and it does manage to tug on the heart strings despite being so whimsical and carefree. Also, visually speaking, it's nothing less than a feast for the eyes.
My favorite Pixar film is Brave, without any doubt. The writers/directors knew how to deal with many aspects of life very well, without overdoing anything. It was funny, sad, exciting and even romantic at times, considering Merida's parents. Makes you like every single character, and they aren't your typical flat cartoon characters: they have qualities and flaws, they commit mistakes and make it up. Besides, I really loved Merida's relationship with her mother, and the animation is beyond gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteFinding Nemo! It will go down as one of the best animated movies of all time. I really thought it was perfectly done, and its one of those movies you can watch over and over. Just the right amount of humor and emotion throughout. Plus, its a straight up beautiful movie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar movie is Up. I just think it's an adorable, funny movie. :]
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Up because I love the beginning sequence in which we meet Ellie, fall in love with Ellie, and then watch her grow old.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this one comment right here. Ellie is absolutely my favorite Pixar character. A+++, she really is something else.
DeleteOh man, I think she may be my favourite Pixar character. I loved how Carl loved her so much, and as unbelievable getting a house to rise out of the ground by tieing thousands of balloons to it was, it was such a beautiful act of love for her on Carl's part. That's what made their love so much more real than in other non-animated films I've seen!
Deletemy favorite pixar film is definitely Finding Nemo - no matter how many times I see it it tugs at my heart!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film would have to be Up. Basically because it is a better love story and journey of finding yourself that has been thought up in a long time.
ReplyDeleteDont make fun of me if I sound like an idiot Maz haha
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar movie...ugh thats a tough question because I love them all so much but if I had to narrow it down, I would have to say Finding Nemo is my favorite. First of all, the scenery of the movie is just amazing! all the colors and the different life in the ocean was just so beautifully animated. I would watch just the animation without any sound if I could. I also love Marlin's dedication to finding Nemo and the obstacles he has to endure to get to him. I know if I was able to, I would search far and wide for my father. The whole story makes me emotional since it does hit so close to home and the movie will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life because of it and Honestly, how can you not love Dory? Ellen just made that character great.
My favorite Pixar film is Ratatouille. I just love the colors and feel of the film and feel like it had the most artistry of any Pixar film. My favorite short is probably La Luna.
ReplyDeleteI can't choose between Brave and Toy Story 3.
ReplyDeleteBoth stories focus on the strengthening of bonds, however not bonds tied by a romantic love, but from familial love and friendship. The movies teach us values that everyone should keep in mind - that family and friends will always be there. Toy Story 3 took its toll on me due to the fact that everyone can relate to the feelings that Andy feels. He knows he has to grow up but he can't let go of the past and neither can the toys. It's a journey everyone will have to go through in life and I'm pretty sure that my generation saw this movie as a helpful guide in their turning point of life - the journey to college.
Brave is another favorite of mine because the details in the scenery. It's practically scenic porn - as I like to call it. It all looks too real - like I can reach out and touch the leaves of the trees. Merida's hair is also something I love about this movie. Too much detail my heart can't help but love it!
My favorite Pixar movie is Monsters Inc. because when I was little, it helped me get over the fear of monsters being in my closet.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Pixar film is Ratatouille because I adore the plot, love Anton Ego, think Colette is a wonderful female character, and love the way they've animated Paris. My favourite Pixar short is without a doubt Geri's Game.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Ratatouille because of the color warmth of the whole film, and the earnest that Brad Bird has in his films to build a simple story with amazing, fleshed out characters. The directing is hilarious and smooth, and Remy is adorable. Although I should almost say Wall-E, since it's a special film to me and my boyfriend, and Wall-E is the most adorable thing ever.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite for years now is Monsters, Inc. It's just a fun film and it shows that you can get past the unknown!
ReplyDeletepauline15_01(at)hotmail(dot)com
My favorite Pixar movie is Brave because it is sooo beautifully done. The landscapes make me feel like I'm really there, which is great because I love Scotland. Plus the music is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteUp because it has more heart in 5 minutes than most movies have in 2 hours
ReplyDeleteI concur!!
DeleteUp and I couldn't agree more with Denise M!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is either Toy Story or Up. Toy Story reminds me of my childhood and it's like the characters have grown up along with me. Up! because the storyline is so beautiful. My favorite short is either Presto or For the Birds. They make me laugh so much!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film would have to be Up. I literally cried during the first few minutes of the movie, but found myself laughing at the end! The tears were unexpected, though, and it was what drew me in from the start. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite short is The Little Match Girl, it's a sad and beautifully written story - Pixar has great shorts, but this one really sticks out. As for a film, it's a tie between Finding Nemo (for some reason, it really helped me in the process of getting over a terrible relationship/breakup) and Ratatouille.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite movie is The Incredibles because it was one of the first movies I remember seeing in the theatre and watching it still gives me those feelings of excitement and childhood <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Toy Story 3. I felt like I grew up with Andy because we were both going to enter college and leave so many people behind. I never really had a favorite toy.. but the first two movies were a childhood favorite. Toy story 3 ended perfectly with it's humor and thrilling storyline. Encore! :]
ReplyDeleteThe first Toy Story is my favorite..with part 3 coming in at a close second. I love the humor mixed with heart in these films!
ReplyDeleterypm25@aol.com
My favorite Pixar film is Monster's Inc. I'm not really sure why, I just love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar movie is UP, it's just pure creation storywise. The characters in it are amazing too, a bizarre combination to be sure, but they all work so well together. And on the whole it's just as funny as it is heartbreaking, which you don't see a lot of in a lot of movies aimed at kids(disregarding Pixar's work). After that I'd say #2 would be Ratatouille and #3 would be Wall-E with an honorable mention to Toy Story 3!
ReplyDeleteToy Story 3 is my favorite especially with going to college soon. :)
ReplyDeleteBrave just HAS to be my favorite. (red hair likeness aside ;) ) It was created so well, with so many complex feelings and you feel them ALL! Its amazing! And my friend in Scotland finally saw it and she LOVES it too... which confirms just how perfect it is! They truly researched it all well and chose fantastic Scottish actors too.
ReplyDeleteHmm My favorite Pixar movie would have to be Toy Story.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Pixar film is Up! because of the beatiful way they tell the story and because of how they managed to put so much emotion into it. The use of colours and cinematography is also stunning.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Toy Story 3. I grew up with the Toy Story movies and I went to see all three with my brother and aunt, so they're really special to me. Also, the story is just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite animated film made by Pixar is the Toy Story series. It is the first Pixar film which I watch as a child and captivated my imagination and dreams. It makes me to always remember to take a good care to all my toys, even when I already grown up. I'm still collecting them by the way. All the caharacters in it are so memorable, especially Buzz and Woody. Even now, I still think Toy Story is the best works, Pixar has ever created.
ReplyDeleteWall-E, it tought me how simplicity is the key to happiness (and love).
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I guess I'd say Toy Story because it's something I watched and loved as a kid and still enjoy now. I got all teary-eyed during the third one and i'm an adult now! I really love Up as well though. it's heartbreaking AND hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say Madagascar 3 it was a perfect movie for kids and even adults enjoyed it especially me.
ReplyDeleteGloriaDeal@aol.com
Madagascar 3 is actually produced by Dreamworks, not Disney or Disney Pixar.
DeleteGosh.. hard to choose a favorite.. I do like all the Toy Story movies.. but, honestly, I can't think of a Disney Pixar that I don't like. I grew up on Disney and raised my Son on them, books and movies, and I still enjoy them. They just have a way of reaching out to ANY audience and touching them in so many ways. I think they're an important part of raising children, if that makes sense to anyone else. So many lessons, sensitive topics.. addressed in a manner that a child can understand and connect with.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to watching Brave because it reminds me so much of my 2 fearless, redheaded great nieces(they take after Aunt Gena). Lol!
ubrewme@yahoo.com
My favorite is Brave. It was beautifully done, and I love when movies have strong female characters and give glimpses into other cultures or past cultures. Kids need to be inspired to learn about history when they're being entertained.
ReplyDeleteI love Finding Nemo!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite Pixar film is Brave. I am very close with my own mother and went to watch it with her, so it was a quite special experience for me.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Pixar film is either Toy Story, Monsters Inc or Wall-E. The first two because I remember watching them so many times with my family, and the third because I find it so incredibly adorable and meaningful. I can't really choose between the three.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Pixar film is Up, because it shows you that you can so much emotion, heart, and melancholy, even in animation.
